CLEAN BEAUTY

Pure Box ; Mullein and Sparrow

Share

Hello beauties ?? today I’ll be sharing my experience with my PureBox which consisted of Mullein and Sparrow  goodies?
✨ Off the bat I fell in love with their packaging , both PureBox and the Mullein and Sparrow , the PureBox logo is so simple and beautiful bringing back to idea of natural beauty. The Mullein and Sparrow packaging reminds me of antiques and I am a sucker for anything antique. ?

✨ I began with testing out their facial detox duo Facial steam and mask. I have never tried out a facial steam before but reading through the herbs they use got my super excited.

✨The facial steam is a blend of lavender, chamomile, rose, calendula, comfrey, licorice root, fennel, rosemary, nettle, and chickweed. Can you say amazing ❓?  just look at how colorful and beautiful it looks in my fingertips ‼️

✨ The instructions read to boil 4 cups of water and add a handful of the herbs into it, letting it steep for 5-10 minutes, I personally was so excited to try it that o only let it steep for barely 5 minutes ? wooops. Then I transferred the water into a glass bowl and followed the instructions creating a little towel tent over my face which was above the steaming bowl. I was now officially in herb heaven. ?? seriously the smell was mesmerizing and felt so gooooodddd.

✨ After overly indulging in my little towel tent as the steam was no longer steamy ?? if that makes any sense, I dried my face off and moved onto the facial mask.

✨ The instructions state to pour some of the powder and mix it with some water until it becomes into a smooth paste. I used too big of a brush so I couldn’t really capture a photo of what the paste looks like but this is the best I could do:

✨ I applied it all up and around my face, and surprisingly it took about 7-10 minutes to fully dry up and make me look like so:

✨ I waited about 2 more minutes while it was all dry , and then proceeded to wash my face with warm water. I really expected my face to feel pretty dry as drying masks tend to do that to my skin, and I did indeed feel that it was moisture thirsty after I towel dried my face , but it was sooooo super smooth guys ! I felt kinda ‘glowy ‘ if I may say. ?

✨ The mask itself if filled with kaolin clay, rhassoul clay, sea clay, bentonite clay, rosa centifolia, aloe vera, and organic lavender essential oil. Magnificent indeed.

✨ Now, because I did feel that my skin was thirsty for moisture, they perfectly have added their Facial Serum ( which sadly was not labeled with exactly which one it was) but it was so nourishing and my skin drank it so fast I was questioning if I needed to apply another layer ! The smell was also very pleasing. Instead of adding another layer of the serum though, I spritzed my face with the Lavender Hydrosol

✨ This hydrosol is infused with pure herbal distillates from lavender (organic) you my use it on your face, body, hair, and even on fabrics for a fresh scent. ?

✨ To complete the moisturized face, I used the handmade Handmade tinted lip balm which looks like a dark scary color in the packaging but is almost translucent and gives my lips nice gloss. It’s made with plenty of organic essential oils and feels soft on my lips.

✨ overall, I am soo pleased with the January PureBox and would definitely recommend it as well as all the Mullein and Sparrow products ‼️??  go and subscribe to their monthly organic healthy beauty products , it’s affordable and worth it! Either for yourself or as a gift?

Lovely Post Libby! I would like to check out this box subscription. I haven’t found one I like yet and think would be worth the investment. I bet infusing these facial steam herbs into an oil would be absolutely amazing! A tip for clay masks, rinse off just before it’s fully dry and it won’t leave your skin dried out. When clay dries, it has the OPPOSITE effect! Thank you for sharing!

Hi Ashlynn! So sorry it took me so long to reply to your comment! I am only now getting the hang of working with WordPress and my blog and all. Thank you for reading and I am glad you enjoyed! Also definitely will use that tip for future clay mask!
Regarding to this box, sadly, the founder let me know about two weeks ago that she will no longer be creating the PureBox 🙁 so sad I know. Although, there is a brand new beauty box that I am hosting a giveaway with right now (which you can enter via my instagram page) You could win 3 month worth of products ! They are brand new ! They are called Satva Beauty Box 🙂

Hmm it appears like your site ate my first comment (it was extremely long) so I guess I’ll just sum it up what I wrote and say,
I’m thoroughly enjoying your blog. I as well am an aspiring blog
blogger but I’m still new to the whole thing. Do you have any helpful hints for newbie blog writers?
    I’d genuinely appreciate it.
