Franklin & Whitman Organic Body Scrubs
Hello everyone! So today’s post is a review for Franklin & Whitman’s organic body scrubs, super exciting! They send over 3 different ones for me to try and ill go one by one and talk about each one separately as they are all different and unique in their own smell, texture, and outcomes for your beautiful bodies.
I’ll begin with my personal favorite: Salt Scrub, Logan Square– Sea salt matcha green tea lemongrass [Click on photo to shop]
This salt scrub smells like fresh lemons and every time I used it in the morning it gave me the sweetest wakeup sensation and a feeling that I can conquer the day ahead. My skin after I use it feels like a baby’s bottom (no joke, so smooth) ! I really wondered what is in this magical glass jar (recyclable , woohoo!) that was making my skin so soft. SO, I went onto their website and got the ingredients for you guys because after reading them, it made total sense [ P.S-all ingredients are natural, plant-based, cruelty-free, and parabens free] ;
Celtic Sea Salt, Vitis Vinifera Oil, Olea Europaea Oil, Cocos Nucifera Oil, Camellia Sinensis, dl-Alpha Tocopheryl Oil (Vitamin E), Proprietary Blend of Essential Oils.
All of those essential oils working together along with the sea salt which is filled with magnesium and calcium to hydrate the skin. Also the sea salt is infused with grapeseed, coconut oil and matcha powder [hence, the skin’s softness] and is also rich in antioxidants and chlorophyl to help get rid of those toxins on your skin. To top this all off, as I mentioned before, they also include lemongrass in this and it seriously just rejuvenates me in the morning and gives me energy and motivation for the day ahead.
My second favorite is the Midtown Village fair trade coffee vanilla sugar scrub, I mean, just the name of the product makes you fall in love right!? [Click on photo to shop] So, I am not a coffee drinker and actually I never had a cup of coffee in my life! I do love myself some green tea but I just find the smell and taste of coffee too strong for me and I am a werido who needs to like how things smell before I taste them (Anyone else does that? I look super weird in restaurants sniffing away any mysterious foods) Therefore, knowing there is coffee in this kind of made me assume I was not going to like it. LITTLE DID I KNOW how magnificent coffee smell is mixed with vanilla. Plus the fact that it’s fair trade made everything even more pleasing. With this one, I felt that my skin was being exfoliated to the max which is awesome and leaves you feeling extra squeaky clean. Obviously I had to look up the ingredients for this one as well because even though the scrub was rougher than the first and exfoliating, I felt the same baby soft after feeling as the first!
Here is the list of ingredients: Sucrose, Coffea Arabica, Vitis Vinifera Oil, Olea Europaea Oil, Cocos Nucifera Oil, Vanilla Planifolia, dl-Alpha Tocopheryl Oil (Vitamin E).
So while the sugar and coffee work to exfoliate by removing dead skin cells and work to tighten, tone, and brighten dull skin, the coconut oil and grapeseed oil work to give you the un-resistible softness, all while Organic Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla adds a delicious aroma.
Lastly, the scrub I thought I would have loved the most turned out to be my number 3. The Point Breeze Pink Himalayan Salt Scrub [Clink image to shop] Why number 3? I think it was the smell that my nose did not agree with. I looked up the ingredients because I wanted to see what ingredient it may be that I did not like and these are the ingredients:
Himalayan Pink Mineral Salts, Vitis Vinifera Oil, Olea Europaea Oil, Cocos Nucifera Oil, dl-Alpha Tocopheryl Oil (Vitamin E), Proprietary Blend of Essential Oils.
The ingredient I did not like the smell of is actually the main ingredient (The himalayan mineral salts). Although it is not for me, I am sure others would enjoy this baby to the max as its got the most benefits of the three: These himalayan pink mineral salts contain 84 minerals and elements giving you a deep clean and the oils provide that baby soft smoothness to the skin and hydrates it.
Overall I really do recommend their products, not only are they organic, fair trade, cruelty free, parabens free, but also they donate 5% to help the dog rescue organizations. I have worked with them that if you use my code: ” LIBBY ” they will donate not 5 but 15% of you guy’s purchases towards dog rescuing!! THIS IS AMAZING – IF YOU HAVE A DOG, AND YOU LOVE ORGANIC GOODIES – GO AND PURCHASE ONE , TWO, THREE or their 4 pack scrub sample!
You will NOT be disappointed I swear, and just to clarify, using my code will not benefit me as I chose to instead benefit these doggies, so its not a paid advertisement, I actually loved their products and they have so many more goodies varying from grooming, hair, face, body, to even goodies for your beloved pets! AHH I can’t get enough of them. If you purchase, make sure to post a photo when it arrived with hashtag #FrankAndWhitHarryAnimals and #ShopForACause ! [Okay, rant it over]
Hope you enjoyed this organic product review, and be ready for some more in depth, personal, helpful, blog posts to come 🙂
