Indie Beauty Expo 2018 – My 10 Favorite Finds
What is the Indie Beauty Expo?
This was my first year covering the Indie Beauty Expo, and I have to say, it is probably one of my favorite beauty events. A bit overwhelming at times because lets face it – there were SO many different brand tables to check out and so much information, scents, colors, etc. around! But, also SO amazing and guess what – I managed to get through almost every single table and wanted to share my favorite finds.
A little background on IBE – their first time around was back in 2015, and has been expo-ing yearly since then. They give hundreds of brands (upcoming and established) a place to network with each other, promote their new goods, and connect with people like myself (influencers), stores such a Credo Beauty, and reporters!
If you are someone who has been wanting to switch to a healthier green beauty/skincare lifestyle, IBE is the right place for you, or if you’re someone who has already made the switch and want to find new emerging brands, IBE is right for you!
So, below are my favorite picks from my first year at the Indie Beauty Expo, but I do encourage you to check out the Indie Beauty Expo website for yourself to see all the other brands!

Ere Perez -SUCH a beautifully packaged makeup brand, think Glossier only better because it has 0 toxins inside! I have been using their Rice Powder Bronzer in Tulum ever since the IBE and am OBSESSED!
Raw Chemistry – A 99% natural skin care and perfume company, and my boyfriend and I are LOVING them! He uses the For Him Bold Pheromone Cologne and I use their For Her Elegance Pheromone Perfume Spray. It has a bit more of an oily feel to it but smells so so good and lasts a pretty long time! I have been trying to find my boyfriend a healthier alternative to his Calvin Klein Cologne and I am so happy I finally found one that smells just as good if not better that he loves too! I love how affordable they are as well!
Eighth Day – A skin care brand that has tons of scientific research and doctors behind it, not to mention SUPER luxurious! It has human, marine, and plant-based bioactive that works together to repair and prevent your skin from aging! It is clean, nontoxic, and non-inflammatory. I have been using their Facial Tonic since IBE and am impressed because my skin is very sensitive and it has passed my test!
Luk Beauty Food – A makeup line that is woman owned and has the perfect combination of color and comfort for your lips! I have been using their Lip Nourish Sheer Lipstick in the color Peach Melon and it is the perfect everyday color and keeps my lips hydrated!
Gabriel Cosmetics – I have seen this brand around so many times and finally got to try out one of their products from the IBE- Their creme highlighter, and not over exaggerating , I use it almost every single day now!
Muskaan Makeup – A woman owned lipstick line , all the lipsticks have good-for-you ingredients and are responsibly made, and are the almost the only ones that are Halal certified! I’ve been using their Hydra-matte Lipsticks in the colors Bougie Brunch and Burkini Beach Day (such fun names) and love them both!
Nailmatic – A nail line that has everything from nail care to soaps etc. They have a 100% bio sourced natural nail polish remover, and water based polishes that are perfect for kids! Their packaging is SO much fun and kid friendly, some are even made for the kids to color in!
Noyah – An all organic – eco-friendly makeup line that is amazing both inside and out. Their packaging is made out of earth friendly Bamboo and is so beautiful!
Victoria Land Beauty– A nontoxic female owned skin care line with an inspiring story and cause behind it! They give so much back as they are partners with Boston Children’s Hospital’s Dream Dare Deliver Program and 2% of sales are donated there!
Basd Body Care– plant-based skin care line filled with lotions, scrubs, and soaps that smell amazing and feel amazing! I have been using their Body Lotion in Seductive Sandalwood and my skin has been eating it up!
Clove + Hallow – A beautifully curated Natural makeup line (have yet to try but swatched it at the IBE and everything felt and looked amazing!

This was the best and most important part for me at the Indie Beauty Expo – getting the chance to meet the founders and people behind of the following brands that I have been in contact with since my first years of blogging !
Au Naturale – get ready because they have NEW product and colors coming out!
Fitglow – Finally able to try out their beauty product as I have only used the skin care, I was given the lip color serum, and have been obsessed ever since! it is AMAZING !
Inika Organic – An all natural makeup brand that keeps on winning awards and works wonders! I have been using their Creme Highlighter that I received from The Choosy Chick and I cannot get enough! I also had no idea how many more product they have!
Jane Iredale – Love this makeup line that is all organic and non-toxic! I own almost all their lip-liners!
