Colombia, Cartagena Travel Guide
Our South America trip began with two days in Colombia, Cartagena, and I’ve finally finished putting together my vlog for you guys to see! 🙂 It is attached at the end of this post.
Cartagena was so amazing, colorful, and filled with dance life, delicious fruits, and beautiful people!
DAY ONE
We stayed at the hotel Las Americas Torre Del Mar , just a 5 minute right from the hotel, and about a 10 minute ride from the Walled City. Within the Walled City, there is shopping, tourist information center and money changers, it is the place to start your exploration of the colonial streets.
The middle of the square is Crowned by a statue of Christopher Columbus, this is the largest of the squares in the.
We enjoyed a big fruit bowl from the beautiful ladies dressed in colorful outfits, but soon got hungry and decided to go have some lunch at a place a friend of ours that was born and raised in Cartagena suggested; La Casa De Socorro .
Really delicious food, great service, and beautiful in general!
For shopping I would suggest the streets, bargaining is not easy there but not that necessary as everything is very cheap!
DAY TWO
The nice things about staying a shot time in Colombia Cartagena is that there is not too much to see and you can get all the sight seeing done in one day! This is what we decided to do and therefore had our second day free. We chose to spend it at our hotel.
The hotel was so beautiful! Brand new, and amazing food and hospitality. Our room was clean, atmosphere was lively, and the pools and views are outstanding. To shop the looks, click the pics.
After enjoying the pools, which they have about 6 of them, we treated ourselves to a spa day! A lot more of that is on the Vlog at the bottom of this post.
It was SO AMAZING! We began with a couples massage, and then enjoyed our time in the therapy pool which has 8 different jets that massage your muscles.
Another restaurant I recommend is VERA. It is elegant, chic, beautiful, amazing service, and incredibly romantic.

The last restaurant we went to was at the hotel, as we were already there. It was called Erre De Ramon Freixa. It is stunning inside the restaurant and the food served beautifully. Crop top and maxi skirt from Forever21 <– click to shop.
