OILAH Skincare – My ExperienceOilah x libby vilner

A few months back I was generously gifted a skincare set from Ravit Kanari, the founder of Oilah . She and her brand represent authenticity, purity, and simplicity. We spoke over the phone a few times and the conversations we had were meaningful, and filled with her wisdom and advice! After a few weeks of talking I received this gift from her skincare line and tested the products out. Today I have decided to share with you my experience using Oilah.

First and favorite, the Oilah Rose Face Mist

I am kind of obsessed with rose water and carry a bottle with me at all times, especially during the winter! Receiving this made my day! It is made from distilling pure and organic rose flowers but what gives it it’s uniqueness is the added hazel botanical extract. If you don’t know, distilled roses have natural calming and anti-stress properties, which is another reason beyond my dry skin that I use rose water spray many times per day. On the Oilah website, Ravit shares that rose water “was used in the traditional medicines of China, India, Assyria, Egypt, Greece and Rome, to cure a wide range of medical conditions. It naturally cleanses, softens, stimulates and hydrates skin as well as acting as a wrinkle reducer.” This bottle contains the perfect PH, and leaves my face feeling  refreshed.  I use this after I do my makeup, and whenever my skin feels dry during the day since it’s gentle enough for my sensitive skin and contains no alcohol.

Second is the Oilah Clay Mask Travel Bar

This mask is already mixed and ready to go in it’s bar form, which makes it perfect for, well, traveling! Less mess, no mixing needed. This mask it made for sensitive skin like mine. It comes in 3 different colors and I received the Light Gray clay mask which “works well for normal to dry skin, apply a thin layer and rinse as soon as it dries.” Made with French green clay, Aloe barbadensis (aloe vera) juice, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) oil, colloidal oatmeal, and rose wax.

Best part of this is it’s made super easy! You only really need a thin layer of the mask, it dries super fast, and smells amazing!

Third is the Oilah Reviving Facial Serum

My skin has been oh so sensitive to any oils, and this one it has accepted, meaning, perfect for sensitive skin! Not only is this serum nourishing and moisturizing, it works to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, what more can a woman want?! The serum is super lightweight, perfect for pre-makeup!

“The serum is handcrafted with a blend of 100% unrefined, virgin botanical oils, and a blend of floral – citrus essential oils, help increase oxygenation and cellular regeneration as well as balance your skin moisture.

  • Promotes healthy skin tone and skin tightening
  • loaded with moisturizers and essential nutrients
  • Absorbs rapidly, leaving skin smooth and soft like velvet.
  • Strong garden – citrus scent
  • contain Anti-inflammatory properties, which helps clear blemished skin
  • Soothes irritated skin
  • Helps treating psoriatic skin and Eczema
  • Rich in antioxidants, omega 3, omega 6, vitamins C & E, and unsaturated fatty acids
  • support skin recovery after being in the sun or wind”

Lastly, the Oilah Exfoliating Mask

What I love the most about these products is the awareness for sensitive skin. Although this mask exfoliates my skin, it is so gentle and even hydrates my skin too. You only need 3-5 minutes with it on, I personally leave it on for 3, and did I mention it smells so so refreshing!?

“While our clay pull oils out of your pores, the oats, honey and coconut milk extracts moisturize and nourish your skin. Our formulation is naturally rich in fatty acids and anti- oxidants properties, that form a protective film on your skin and and unclog pores. Works well as an acne treatment.”

The ingredients are: Kaolin clay, French green clay, dried honey, colloidal oats, dried coconut milk powder, Jojoba Beads, Anthemis Nobilis (Chamomile) Flower Oil, Lavandula Officinalis (Lavender) Oil.

I highly suggest giving Oilah a try, especially for those with dry, sensitive skin like mine!
